As you know from this diary the beloved columnist Molly Ivins is critically ill. In Molly Ivins' second to last column she declared herself on a campaign:
an "old-fashioned newspaper campaign" and vowed to use every column she had to "write about this war until we find some way to end it."
The Berkeley Daily Planet has taken up the pledge and will accept all submissions of 600-800 words, aiming to publish at least one a day online while Molly is sick. The editors will pick two to run in their print editions Tuesday and Friday. The Berkeley Daily Planet is doing this as a tribute to Molly Ivins, calling it a "festschrift."
A festschrift is defined by Merriam-Webster as "a volume of writings by different authors presented as a tribute or memorial especially to a scholar."
It seems to me this is just one of the many things Daily Kos is good for. Can you write 600 to 800 words in opposition to this war? Humor is welcome, as that's Molly's style.
