OK how much money does it take to be happy? Well, according to this story, more than it took to pay for the storm. These people not only want to raise their prices, but they consider the money spent after the previous storms, a reason to make more money. Now Pre-Emptive is not exactly my favorite word right now. 49%, and no one should be mad or question this?
Excuse me if I have a few questions. If you plan to raise the rates, and no storm hits us, how will you give the money back to the people you have raped? Oh yes, you won't!! The mentality of it cost us this much, doesn't mean squat to the hard working people that count on you to do your job! Can't afford the cost? Then get out of the insurance business! Here is the deal, If you have less in the bank, than the checks you write, you get arrested.
So if I and anyone here, has to live within their means, what makes the Federal Gov. and
Farm Bureau think they are diff. What universe are you in? To through salt into the wounds, predictions are used?
It gets much better that that!
"This is a very difficult filing," said Brian VanDreumel, actuarial research and development manager for Farm Bureau.
The Farm Bureau rate increase -- plus a 19 percent increase approved Wednesday for Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. entities and a 5.2 percent increase for the American Association of Insurance Services -- are signs of times to come as homeowners insurance companies rethink their tolerance for hurricane damage in a new period of intense storm activity.
Hurricane forecasters have predicted 17 named storms for the 2006 hurricane season, with five of them being intense hurricanes. The chances of a storm of at least Category 3 strength hitting the Gulf Coast between Texas and Florida is 47 percent, according to the Insurance Information Institute.
"When you have these kind of projections, you've got to prepare for it," said Loretta Worters, vice president with the Insurance Information Institute, an industry-financed group.
Now this has pissed me off so bad, I will let you read the whole story, and let you tell me if I'm wrong. This really sucks!
